Heritage Inventory History of Site:
In 1956, the Bright State battery was giving higher average yields than any other government battery in Victoria. It is still operational and negotiations are underway to have the battery retained as a permanent heritage display.Heritage Inventory Description
BRIGHT STATE BATTERY - Heritage Inventory Description
Features are: an intact battery, complete with battery shed and outbuilding. Shed is standard government battery design: glavanised iron wood-framed shed, with green painted roof and yellow walls.
