Statement of Significance
Several sections of chock and log fence mark the boundary between the original Strathfillan and Tottington/Rostron pastoral runs. the fence may date from early this century. It indicates the early settlement of land in the area for agricultural purposes. It is of importance for its potential to provide information that contributes to a greater understanding of the history of the settlement and establishment of the district, and has a strong presumption of archaeological research potential. Further historical research and archaeological investigation is recommended.
