St Cuthberts Anglican Church - Physical Description 1
Constructed by local residents and opened in March 1907. Deconsecrated and sold in mid 1990s. Refurbished, with a belltower and porch added c.1997. Used for civil ceremonies.
A timber church of 1909 which, despite the naive combination of a Gothic arched door with square pointed windows, achieves an elegant Arts and Crafts character in the gable woodwork, with its neatly incorporated cross, and has a natural timber finish internally. This character would have been even more pronounced with the original dark (probably stained) finish of the shiplap cladding which is now painted white. (NT, 6063)Heritage Study and Grading
