01.1863: giving excellent dividends.
10.1863: doing first rate.
03.1864: returning large quantities of gold weekly.
06.1864: a co-operative party that has been paying good returns for a long time; work is done systematically.
09.1864: blocking out and doing well; have driven to their lower boundary; a prosperous company since its formation.
12.1864: yield of 30 ozs last week; this co-operative party is doing much better than larger companies that operate under the contract system on similar ground.
03.1865: shaft down 260 feet; using a 14.25 inch by 30 inch steam engine for pumping, puddling and winding; have a boiler: 20 feet by 5 feet, 2 iron puddling machines, and hemp ropes; using 8 inch pumps, plunger to 200 feet, drawlift for remainder; only pumping 1.25 hours per shift; have a 6 inch house lift
paying excellent dividends.

WHEEL KITTY CO - Heritage Inventory Description
At the time of this inspection quartz wash was being removed from this site. It will eventually all be removed by a company called Mid West, leaving the mullock heap as the only feature at this site. The mullock is 50m by 20m by up to 4m high. A very unusual suspension foot bridge crosses the Woady Yalloak River to the west of the site.
Heritage Inventory Significance: Not relevant, the quartz wash is currently being removed.
