HORSE PUDDLERS SNAKE VALLEY LEAD SOUTHERN END - Heritage Inventory Description
Three horse puddlers were found in this location, although the owner of this land believes that there are a few more south of the three found in this location. Two of the puddlers are adjacent to each other and the third is 100m north east of the other two. All are in poor condition, being in a paddock that is heavily grazed. The first two were constructed in mounds that are now 0.5m high and adjoin some low gravel heaps, suggesting that material could have been carted here to be washed at these puddling machines. These heaps are partially covered by gorse. The third puddler is in a mound 1.5m high. It is next to a depression which may have been a shaft.
