FORMER BALD HILLS HOTEL SITE - History
Site of former Bald Hills hotel constructed during the gold rush period to service traffic on the way to the goldfields. Later became Millett's Hotel.

FORMER BALD HILLS HOTEL SITE - Archaeological Significance
The Former Bald Hills Hotel site is of low - medium archaeological significance. Parts of the site have been destroyed and ground disturbance around the tank and brick scatter is high. The site has the potential to provide further information about goldfields hotels and the development of services to support/ take advantage of passing gold fields traffic during the mid 19th century.
FORMER BALD HILLS HOTEL SITE - Historical Significance
The site is of local historical significance as a gold rush period hotel developed to meet the needs of travellers on their way to the goldfields. The site is also an important part of the development of Diggers Rest as the town grew around the establishment of hotel services.
Heritage Inventory Description
FORMER BALD HILLS HOTEL SITE - Heritage Inventory Description
Site comprises a dome shaped underground tank and timber post thought to be part of a hand pump as well as a scatter of mortered handmade bricks. The ground around the site appears to be moderately - highly disturbed. Part of the site have been destroyed by the construction of Raglan Street to the east.
