Port Melbourne Memorial Drinking Fountain - Veterans Description for Public
The Port Melbourne Memorial Drinking Fountain is a white marble cupola over a granite basin on a bluestone plinth on a two-stepped bluestone base. It is no longer in use as a drinking fountain bet there are still steps on the the south, east and west sides. Supported by four concrete columns and a marble tablet inscribed with: " Australian Commonwealth Military Forces- erected by the Municipality and citizens of Port Melbourne in memory of those who fell in the Great War 1914-1918 for King and Country."
