Maryborough Boer War Memorial - Veterans Description for Public
The Maryborough Boer War Memorial stands in front of the Town Hall on Clarendon Street. It comprises of drinking fountain of bluestone and granite, with columned panoply over the faucet and a fluted iron lamp pillar. The inscription reads: "Erected in memory of Gerald Massey Ivor Wilkinson, Corporal, Tullibardines Scottish Horse, killed in action at Elandskloof, South Africa, 3rd July 1901. For King and Empire".
