HARVEST HOME ROAD BUILDING REMAINS - History
The grantee of the allotment was Thomas Brown in 1853. The southern part of the allotment was sub-divided in 1861 (10 acres) and owned by John Mayer. Hermione and ALexander Henry Ludemann purchased the land in 1868 and held the title..HARVEST HOME ROAD BUILDING REMAINS - Interpretation of Site
It is possible that the two areas of in situ bluestone blocks are buildings. The row of historic trees suggest a homestead or farm site. There is a possibility of a hotel site on the allotment. (See History section.)

Possible archaeological deposits of one of the earliest hotels in the area, and likely to be relatively intact. It is possible that the two areas of in situ bluestone blocks are buildings. The row of historic trees suggest a homestead or farm site. There is the possibility of a hotel site on the allotment. (See History section.)

Potential building foundations next to a row of historic trees on Epping Road. Within the same small allotment of 10 acres there is a peppercorn tree with cut bluestone in formation under it on Harvest Home Rd
Updated November 2009: Bluestone foundations adjacent to a large pit filled in with basalt boulders. Features are located to the south of a row of exotic trees running east-west from Epping Road. Drystone walls run along Epping and Harvest Home Roads.
