RUINS OF STONE STORE - History
1852: William Church opens a store on Churches Flat
1856-60: store purchased by Bergin Bros., who then open a chain of stores in the Fryerstown area using the Churches Flat store as their base.
ca.1860: Bergin Bros. dissolved.
1872: Coyle and Dargins (another firm who operated a large general store at Churches Flat) close down.
