The Murchison War Memorial, on Stephenson Street, is an ornamental structure featuring a cupola with a small orb that rests on four red granite columns on a granite pedestal. The cupola features the emblem of the Australian Commonwealth Military Forces, while the pedestal lists the names of those locals who served in the First World War and the Second World War. The main inscription reads, "We lie dead in many lands, that you may live here in peace."
