What is contributory?
A double-fronted, detached, symmetrical Italiante brick house, set hack. The slate hip-roof has decorative scalloped bands. The plain frieze has terra-cotta bracket pairs, With rosettes between. The verandah is a convex hip, With a cast-iron lace valence and brackets, with Corinthian round timber posts. Window pairs have barley-sugar mullions and the entry has side and fanlights.
The front is painted and the verandah floor has been replaced with brick paving. It lacks its fence.
How is it contributory?
The house is of aesthetic and historical interest (National Estate Register Criteria E1, A4) to the locality of Richmond and the City of Yarra.
