Outstanding example of species
These two Mediterranean Cypress (Cupressus sempervirens var. sempervirens) make a significant aesthetic contribution to an historically, culturally and architecturally important residence and garden. Their height and girth make them prime specimens of the species within a suburban/residential environment. Their close planting on the east wall of the residence compliments the height of the tower and their tall columnar stature accentuates the curves of Arthur Pretty's 1940 Moderne inspired architecture These specimens are not only notable as prime example of the species but also contribute a formal element to this aboretum style garden.
