Residence - Physical Description 1
185 Garden Street is a timber Bungalow residence which is substantially intact. The asymmetrical double fronted facade features a prominent gable, a verandah porch, and a large corrugated iron gable roof. Notable details include the timber verandah posts positioned on a lower brick verandah balustrade, wide barge boards, decorative brackets, and appropriate colour scheme. The survival of the front fence and hedge is rare for a Bungalow residence. The windows consist of tripartite openings with lead light glazing. The entrance door is a later alteration. At the rear of the house is a flat roof brick extension which has been recently completed. The house forms part of the residential streetscape.
