Why is it significant?
This historic property was formerly owned and developed by Dr John Cam Wight, a personal friend of Barron Ferdinand von Mueller. The tree exhibits a well-structured, open canopy with five main limbs. The tree is one of two on the site, the London Plane located at the front of the property is also classified on the register (T11772). The age and physical dimensions of both trees compare favourably with others examples of the species on the register such as those at the Melbourne Club (T11872) and Harrietville (T11398).
