Statement of Significance
What is significant?
The site is first mapped as Allotment 1, 2 and 3 of Section S on the 1857 Revised Town Plan of Main Street. The site abuts an early sludge drain to the north and northeast. The site contains six structures, with one structure extending east within Larter Street. Allotment 1 contained the Former National School, which was expanded throughout the 1860s.
