Part Avenue Of Honour (Flowering Gum Trees) - Physical Description 1
Description
This is a mature flowering gum row along the South Gippsland Highway stretching from north of Evans Street, on the east side with some lesser specimens on the west side. It is an Avenue of Honour but no plaques or names are visible. Flowering gums have been rarely used for memorial avenues, particularly at this early date when the species was just being popularised in the eastern states.Part Avenue Of Honour (Flowering Gum Trees) - Historical Australian Themes
