Statement of Significance
A Wesleyan chapel and schoolhouse built in 1855, which is one of the earlier surviving examples of Barrabool stone construction. It is interesting in that it was built in the area in which the stone occurs, and by the stonemason Nicholas McCann, who was the main owner of the quarries for this material.
