Statement of Significance
Contribution to landscape
Historical value
The Nathalia Avenue of Honour is a very attractive avenue of Brachychiton populneus (Kurrajong) making a significant contribution to the landscape. The tree foliage, habit and uniformity is particularly notable. One tree, east of Chapel Street on the south side is Brachychiton discolour. The Avenue wasplanted between 1918 and 1922 as a memorial to World War I soldiers of the district
The trees outside the school are stressed due to compaction; those along the south side have been trimmed away from power lines.
