BUTCHERS ARMS HOTEL, FARADAY - Heritage Inventory Description
The site is on the south east corner of the Calder Highway and Sutton Grange Road. Granite blocks are scattered on a flat area on a rise above the highway. Some appear to be in alignment under the grass. The area is approximately 10 x 10 metres, and may extend outside the fenceline towards the Calder Highway.
Heritage Inventory Significance: An important early building in the Faraday community during the 1870s. There are probably in situ archaeological deposits. The builder, Thomas Bentley, was a prominent figure in early Faraday.
