The Baptist Union of Victoria Archives have no records relating to the architect of this church. It is known to have been constructed by Joshua Bennell (ca 1848-1928), a builder who also built the Northcote Baptist Church (1909). This building is considered to be a prototype for the Northcote church. Did Bennell supply the plans for both churches, in addition to building them?
