A bridge linked the explosives factory to a disposal site across the river where waste from the factory was burnt and was used exclusively by the Commonwealth operation.EXPLOSIVES FACTORY BRIDGE ABUTMENT - Interpretation of Site
Part of the former bridge to the explosives factory. This feature is a component of the defence landscape of the area and one of three bridges that crossed to the Commonwealth Defence facilities at Horseshoe Bend.

EXPLOSIVES FACTORY BRIDGE ABUTMENT - Heritage Inventory Description
A 2.5 m high concrete retaining wall and earthworks ramp are all that remain of the bridge on the eastern shore, approx 5 m back from the shore.
Bridge abutments and archaeological deposits associated with the site's use.
