BUNG BONG 2 - Heritage Inventory Description
Bluestone homestead, comprising main house (three styles of mason), stables, old coolroom, chook shed, etc. House has nine rooms. Coolroom : "AAW" mason's mark. Timber shingles are evident under corrugated iron. Pressed gauze in ceiling, internal hand-made brick dividing wall, open drain through second room Original beading timberwork ceilings. Current stables were dairy: bluestone rubble wall (now fallen), foundations visible. Bluestone stables have building date and same stonework as Carrome stud. Complex apparently dates 1850s 1860s. Main house modernised during late 1930s-1940s.
