HIGGS MILL - History
Heritage Inventory History of Site: Higgs mill, later known as Flowerdale No. 3., operated from 1916 to 1978. It had three logging lines and an access line radiating from the mill. The last building at Higgs collapsed in 1977.Heritage Inventory Description
HIGGS MILL - Heritage Inventory Description
Site of former timber mill. A machinery trench in a large cleared area marks the mill site. A large number of postholes and wall plate trenches could be distinguished, some of which contained charred timber. An iron tank is situated west of the site near the creek. Several tramway formations could be distinguished.
Heritage Inventory Significance: Regional. This is one of the less disturbed mill sites in the region.
