MT DISAPPOINTMENT REGULAR CAMP - Heritage Inventory Description
This site has been extensively levelled for reuse as a forestry camp, but some relics remain. The mill is located on a slope , within 50 metres of Dabminga Creek. The remains of a timber structure consists of logs (diameter 500mm) bolted together to form a platform and laid over and excavation 12 metres long and 1.5 metres deep. There is a scatter of hand made bricks nearby. The sawdust heap is approximately 33 x 30 metres and 2.5 metres at the highest point. A cross section shows two distinct burnt layers, suggesting the site had been burnt more than once. Rubbish dumps contain material apparently dating from early to middle twentieth century.
