EDEN PARK 3 - Heritage Inventory Description
Ruins built by Butlers at least c. 1900. Situated to the west of present modern house of Mrs Hill. Remains of lemon trees, garden plants, a chimney of hand-made bricks - oval hearth, front steep, c. 2m high. Fireplace set on flat depressed area. Bricks rendered - machine and hand-made. Farm during Butlers' time (Mrs Hill's grandparents) - grazed sheep, some crops and dairy. Butler family also P.O. for Eden Park. Apparently building was mostly timber and P.O. was on verandah
