The regulator, Glenorchy is significant as part of the Wimmera Mallee Domestic and Stock Supply system which grew to become one of the largest of its kind in the world.
The regulator, Glenorchy is historically and scientifically significant at a LOCAL level. It is associated with the Wimmera-Mallee stock and domestic water supply system which grew to become one of the largest of its kind in the world.

Concrete Regulator, intersection of Stawell-Warracknabeal and Ti Tree Swamp Roads, GLENORCHY - Physical Description 1
The regulator is constructed of concrete and has three arched openings to allow the passage of water. The regulator is also used as a pedestrian bridge to cross the channel and has timber post and rail handrails on both sides.
