GLEN HOPE HOMESTEAD - History
Heritage Inventory History of Site: The Glen Hope homestead was completed by John Merlo in 1887 after taking up a tract of land in the Delatite Valley on selection. The property was purchased by the Coller family in 1924 and the homestead was renovated. The property was resumed by the State Riviera and Water Supply Commission in 1952 in anticipation of the filling of Lake Eildon.Heritage Inventory Description
GLEN HOPE HOMESTEAD - Heritage Inventory Description
1887 homestead submerged by Lake Eildon. Consists of timber paling house, the walls of which were once rammed with clay, and with a shingled roof. Remnants and foundations of outbuildings exist. Last totally emerged from lake in 1982/3.
