CLARK & PEARCE NO.1 WINCH AND BOILER - History
Heritage Inventory History of Site: As the areas of forest were cut out, the log hauling winches were moved out further from the mills they served. Clark & Pearce's No 1 mill, founded in 1906, was the earliest mill in the Rubicon Forest. This winch and boiler were used previously at other sites and this was their final resting place, circa 1939.Heritage Inventory Description
