STRONACH'S CAMP - History
Heritage Inventory History of Site: This is the site of a road construction workers' camp, from the 1940s. There were originally numerous huts at the site and more evidence may be revealed by an archaeological examination of the site.Heritage Inventory Description
STRONACH'S CAMP - Heritage Inventory Description
The site consists of a cleared area either side of the Thomson Valley Road, on the edge of the Upper Thomson Snow Plain. The site contains three ruined chimneys, a collapsed dug out and a few scattered iron artefacts.
