ANDERSON STATION - History
Station has longest history of the Nyora-Wonthaggi line. Was originally a station for San Remo (Griffiths Point) to Kilcunda Tramway of late 1800s. Station was one of the more significant of all on N-W railway and has moderate significance due to its additional role as tram station. Site abandoned and dismantled during the early 1980s. Not possible to determine the extent of archaeological remains due to lack of visibility.Heritage Inventory Description

Station site c. 100 x 100m.Formed railway (no sleepers or rails), platform, car park and associated plantings. Visibility very poor. Edge of platform exposed in small areas. Formed rail track clearly visible with limited grass cover. Plants on platform are likely to be associated with station.
