GENOA HISTORICAL SITE NO.1 - Heritage Inventory Description
Remains of a spot mill and log landing in a clearing off to the side of vehicle track. Ample evidence of logging in surrounding forest.
Moderate significance due to scarcity of recorded sites in area.
Wooden platform along western side of clearing, log and plank landing along northen side. Logs have been cut by chainsaw. There is a great deal of sawdust beneath this structure. Offcuts of wood are lying all over clearing, as are some old rusty cans and beer bottles (dating to 2nd half of 20th C.).
