Avenel War Memorial - Physical Description 1
The Avenel Jubilee Park, on the corner of Ewings Road and Queens Street, includes a memorial dedicated to the First and Second World War. The memorial comprises of a statue of Digger, mounted on a combination of polished and unpolished granite stone, with plaques that list the names of local men who served. A low pyramid topped white washed piers and metal chains form a low fence round the monument. There are also several guns on the site c.Second World War and several mature peppercorn and white cedar trees.
