Veterans Description for Public
Gunbalanya Outbuildings - Veterans Description for Public
The Gunbalanya Outbuildings, on Indigo Creek Road, Indigo Valley, comprise of the most extensive collection of ex-army huts to be found within the Shire. The huts were moved here in the post-World War II period. Many army buildings were sold off at Bonegilla and Bandiana after World War II; and again after the closure of the Bonegilla Migrant Reception Centre in the 1970s. The huts are an excellent example of the way in which these utilitarian structures were re-used for a wide variety of purposes.
