THE EAST GOULBURN MAIN CHANNEL SIPHON AND WEIR FORM A SMALL PART OF A VAST ENGINEERING PROJECT THAT STRETCHES ACROSS NORTHERN VICTORIA. THE CHANNEL IS FED FROM NAGAMBIE WEIR CONSTRUCTED IN 1880S AS ONE OF VICTORIA'S LARGE-SCALE IRRIGATION SCHEMES AND SERVES THE EAST SHEPPARTON IRRIGATION AREA.EAST GOULBURN MAIN CHANNEL SIPHON & WEIR COMPLEX - Interpretation of Site
The east Goulburn Main Channel siphon and weir form a small part of a vast engineering project that stretches across northern Victoria.

Regulation weir on Pranjib Creek with stream flow monitoring equipment erected above it. The siphon on the channel built with buried pipes connecting irrigation channel. Stone lined drains for discharge. Earlier remains of concrete structure, possibly a weir.
