Residence - Physical Description 1
This house addresses the corner of George and Aberdeen streets with gabled roofs intersecting a main hip roof. The return verandah has cast-iron decoration; there is metal ridge decoration and finials, and meticulous stucco decoration to house side fence and garage. It is highly likely that this distinctive decoration is the work of the owner plasterer who displayed his handiwork. Similar decoration is found on a shop at 174 Aberdeen Street and on a house at 40 Albert Street. A two storey building is located at the rear of the house and could pre date the front part of the house. The house is in original condition apart from some alterations to the fence.
