Queen of the West - Physical Description 1
DESCRIPTION
The two storey brick building has a hipped and gabled roof clad in corrugated iron. It resembles the Barwon Club Hotel in Moorabool Street as it follows much the same form and has some similar details. The projecting gables and the red bricks and rough cast upper floor of the walls give the building a slightly less Victorian feeling than its overall form imparts. Decorative details include the ridge decoration (only a little of this has remained), the bow and bay windows, the parapet on the angled corner, the string course and the cement rendered voussoirs and window hoods. There is a recent addition ot the east and another to the north.
