Memorial Window Description & History
Stained Glass Window at Hawthorn St. Columb's Anglican Church - Memorial Window Description & History
This simple statement was in marked contrast to the highly figurative four-light east window installed in 1920 to commemorate the men of the First World War. The windowpaid tribute to Second World War servicemen with the badge of the Australian Military Forces surrounded by a laurel wreath, surmounted with a golden crown, signifying victory. The emblem was set against a simple diamond quarry background.
