STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
'Nargoondy' is shown on the 1940s Army Ordinance Survey Map, but the architectural style indicates that is was built c1920s.
It is of aesthetic and scientific value to the local Portarlington community.
Nargoondy is of aesthetic interest because of the sympathetic relationship of the residence to the landscaped garden with its mature native and exotic trees. The variety of botanical species is of scientific interest. It is of LOCAL cultural significance.

"Nargoondy" - Physical Description 1
DESCRIPTION
This site has mature trees and possibly an early garden. The building has corrugated iron roof and verandah. The significant architectural features are the original materials and chimney, the other prominent contributing elevations and the intact verandah structure.
