Statement of Significance
- The battened rough cast gable end.
- The large brick chimney with moulded brick bands and a terracotta pot.
- The simple frets to the square verandah.
- Multi-pane double hung windows.
With the removal of the hall, school and station buildings, the former Bennison School Residence now provides the only tangible evidence of what was the community centre of the Bennison district. (Criterion B)

BENNISON SCHOOL RESIDENCE (FORMER) - Physical Description 1
The former Bennison School Residence is a Federation dwelling based on a single corrugated hip roof with a projecting gable set off centre. A contiguous verandah at a lower pitch covers the wider section of the facade. Other notable elements include:
- The battened rough cast gable end.
- The large brick chimney with moulded brick bands.
- The simple frets to the square verandah.
- Multi-pane double hung windows.
It appears the margined casement windows to the exposed part of the front elevation are not original. Otherwise the building has good integrity. The school was originally located to the north of the dwelling, but no evidence of it remains. The site is marked by a sign.
