OUTTRIM SCHOOL RESIDENCE (FORMER) - Physical Description 1
The former school residence at Beard Street, Outtrim is a timber Federation dwelling based on a single corrugated hip roof with a projecting gable set off centre. A contiguous verandah at a lower pitch covers the wider section of the facade. Other notable elements include:
- The battened gable end.
- The large brick chimney with moulded brick bands.
- The simple frets to the square verandah posts and the scalloped board infill to the verandah end.
Non original alterations and additions includethe verandah to the right of the projecting bay,the skillion garage at one end and the verandah at the orther, and a skillion extension at the rear.Heritage Study and Grading
