MANGALORE RAILWAY STATION - History
The station opened in 1880 as a part of the Gouldburn ValleyLine for passengers and goods. In 1889 there was duplication from Seymour. In 1982 the station was closed to passenger cars.MANGALORE RAILWAY STATION - Interpretation of Site

The site has significant relating to the development of early transport and communications within Victoria.
Remains of two stationplatforms identified with brick fastings. A signal box and signal underpass also identified.
