HOUSE - Physical Description 1
The house at 54 Rainer Street, Pascoe Vale South is an intact postwar house, garage and garden. The house is a clinker brick triple fronted single storey house with a hipped glazed terracotta tiled roof, located at the top of a slightly sloping site. The house has a number of distinctive features, including its unusual windows, above which the walls are painted render to the eaveline. Other features include: steps leading up to the entrance, a curved porch defing the entrance and a chimney with moderne styling.
The property also retains its original brick garage and landscaping. The sloping block is terraced with small brick or crazy Castlemaine stone retaining walls. There are a number of plantings which are probably contemporary to the house, most of these have been sculpted into simple topiary shapes.Heritage Study and Grading
