SECOND MORNPOOL HOMESTEAD SITE - History
The artefacts examined date the site to the mid to late 1800s, which coincides with the period marked for the change of lease for Mornpool, so the site marks the establishment of a second Mornpool Homestead.SECOND MORNPOOL HOMESTEAD SITE - Archaeological Significance
The site appears to be deflated but may still contain archaeological deposits.
SECOND MORNPOOL HOMESTEAD SITE - Historical Significance
This is a significant site, and would add to the early settlement history of Kulkyne and is there considered to be of moderate historical significance.

SECOND MORNPOOL HOMESTEAD SITE - Heritage Inventory Description
Scatter of fragments of buttons, clay pipes, metal, glass, ceramic and animal bones. Insitu bricks at base of peppercorn trees.
Historic scatter of different materials including buttons (pearl & metal), clay pipes (2 or 3 different types), metal & nails, glass fragments (blue, green, brown & clear), ceramic fragments (blue pattern and willow pattern bowls and plates) plus animal bones.
