Traces of road cutting (c. 2.5m wide) visible 2-3m above sea level; 11 iron spikes (c. 0.4m high) set 1-2m apart in a row on rock shelf below road. Site inspected Jan 1994 - see card.
Heritage Inventory Significance: A unique site and associated with a little known episode in the local history.
