Statement of Significance
A late polychrome brick church with stone dressings built in 1887-8 to the design of Hillson Beasley and John Little, but remaining without the intended spire, apse, vestries and fleche. The building comprises a nave, transepts placed beneath double transverse gables and an octagonal turret to the north-west; it is of interest for its attractive use of brickwork interspersed with stone. The interior has been subdivided by a partition closing off the transepts. Originally there was a delightful pipe organ built by George Fincham in the 1860s in an elegant case with fretwork panels, cornice and diapered pipes, since sold to private ownership..
