Statement of Significance
Builtbetween 1844 & 1853 oftimber construction by the Wilson Brothers. The original 6 room homestead had a square rubble bluestone addition with slate roof added by new owner, William Reid, in approximately 1860 along with an encirlcing verandah.
"Woddbourne" is a rare surviving example of sawn timber plank construction with end joints notched and pegged and with timber shingles. The stone addition with encircling verandah is the epitome of vernacular design and construction. The building has important historical associations with the settlement and development of the Meredith district & with grazier, William Reid.
