The Bendigo Whipstick is of considerable geographical and paleoclimatic interest within the State of Victoria. From a landscape view, the rather long flat appearance of the Whipstick, together with the remnants of the old mining days, and the eucalyptus oil industry, provide an interesting landscape which comes alive in Spring with the appearance of a multitude of wildflowers.
LOCATION:
An area of mallee scrub situated approximately eight kilometres north of Bendigo between the Loddon Valley Highway and the Midland Highway.
Note: Classified boundary varies from Whipstick Park (part of Greater Bendigo National Park) boundary.
