Heritage Inventory Interpretation: An early house site, probably built at the end of the gold rushes c. 1860s - 1879s.
Heritage Inventory Description
GARDEN GULLY ROAD HOUSE SITE NO.1 - Heritage Inventory Description
A ruinous, four roomed timber house, with a lean-to kitchen at the rear and a verandah at the front and side. A cellar has been excavated under the east side. There is a shearing shed to the west and brick shed foundations nearby, a small dam and a brick cistern. Artefacts and equipment are scattered over the site and there is a remnant orchard, mature pines and other exotic trees.
Heritage Inventory Significance: The house is of local historical significance. There is little archaeological potential.
