Heritage Inventory History of Site: Age of site is uncertain, probably first established during 1850s/60s as a line of communication between Euston and bumbang homestations
ROBINVALE-EUSTON COACH ROAD - Interpretation of Site
Heritage Inventory Interpretation: Site complex linking Robinvale when the Murray River near Euston, mostly pre-dating existing bridge (1928). Complex consists of a raised embankment, which carries the road and bridge sites across deeper washways on the floodplain floor. Possibly associated with other activity areas on the floodplain, including charcoal burning sites and buildings formerly located adjacent to Moore Street (at the east end), where the council depot is currently located.

ROBINVALE-EUSTON COACH ROAD - Heritage Inventory Description
Alignment of coach road established between Robinvale and the Murray River at Euston in the mid-late 19th century, and in use until c. 1935. Superceded by Robinvale bridge in 1928, but maintained as stock route for some years following.
Heritage Inventory Significance: The site complex is of local significance under HV criteria A, D & E, primarily through its role as the earliest crossing place on the Murray River at this point and the survival of a multiplicity of elements relating to its construction and use.
Heritage Inventory Site Features: A: punt crossing, consisting of boat 'naust', anchor tree and road alignmentB: two bridge sites consisting of veridual timber piles and concrete.c: bridge site over floodplain washwayD: timber stock grid through fenceline.
